My junior year of college a couple of friends and I decided at 5:30pm that we wanted to go to Los Angeles for the weekend. We left Lubbock Texas at 6:15pm and drove all night to LA. Got into LA around 8am (I’m driving at the time) and we are on the LA freeway when all of a sudden the back right tire blows out. I’m in the far left lane and have to cut across 4 lanes of traffic to pull over. I get out and change the tire on the side of the freeway with cars flying past us. The weekend trip turned in to a 5 day trip and on the way back to Lubbock we get caught in a blizzard in New Mexico. By the way, the car we are driving is a blue 2005 ford mustang without cruise control! But minus the blow out, the blizzard, having to skip a few classes, and driving without cruise control, it was a blast!!! |
